Ingredients

  • 50 ml Oil
  • 500 g Lamb diced
  • 400 g Okra washed and sliced
  • 2 Onions finely chopped
  • 3 Tomatoes chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 200 ml Water

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown
  • Add diced lamb pieces and cook until they turn brown
  • Add the spices and minced garlic then cook for 3-4 minutes
  • Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and pulpy
  • Pour in the water, cover the pan, and let the lamb cook for 40-45 minutes until tender.
  • Once the lamb is almost cooked, add sliced okra and cover and cook for 15 minutes until they are tender.
  • Serve hot with rice or chapati.

Notes

Ensure the okra is thoroughly washed and dried before slicing to prevent sliminess.
Adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
You can add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra tanginess if desired.
