Spicy Potato Fry

There is something incredibly comforting about the aroma of potatoes sizzling in a hot pan, infused with a flavourful medley of spices. One dish that perfectly encapsulates this experience is the Spicy Potato Fry.

This South Indian delicacy, also known as Aloo Fry, is a beloved staple in many households and is the perfect way to add a kick to your meal.

The history of the Spicy Potato Fry recipe dates back generations, rooted in the rich culinary traditions of South India. Potatoes, originally introduced to India by the Portuguese in the 17th century, have since become a ubiquitous ingredient in Indian cuisine.

The marriage of these humble tubers with bold spices and fragrant herbs has resulted in a dish that is both comforting and exciting.

Despite its deceptively simple ingredients, the Spicy Potato Fry is a dish that requires a delicate balance of flavors and textures. The potatoes must be cooked to just the right level of tenderness, while the spices must be toasted to release their full aromatic potential.

Getting this balance just right is what sets apart a mediocre Spicy Potato Fry from a truly exceptional one.

  • 5 cloves Garlic Finely Chopped
  • 1 tsp Green Chilli Paste
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds

Instructions

  • Heat Oil in a pan over medium heat until it becomes hot.
