Ingredients

Chicken Niblets: Bite-sized pieces of chicken meat, perfect for quick and easy cooking. They are tender and juicy, making them ideal for curries and stews.

Oil: Used for sautéing the onions and tomatoes, as well as for frying the chicken niblets. Oil helps to enhance the flavors of the other ingredients.

Onion: Adds a sweet and savory flavor to the curry base. When cooked down, onions become soft and caramelized, adding depth to the dish.

Tomatoes: Provide a tangy and slightly sweet flavor to the curry. They also help create a rich and thick sauce for the chicken niblets to simmer in.

Garlic Paste: Adds a strong and pungent flavor to the curry. Garlic paste is a key ingredient in many Indian dishes, providing a savory depth of flavor.

Green Chilli: Adds heat and spice to the curry. Green chilies can vary in spiciness, so adjust the amount based on your heat preference.

Salt: Enhances the flavors of the other ingredients in the curry. Salt is essential for balancing the overall taste of the dish.

Chilli Powder: Adds heat and a vibrant red color to the curry. Chilli powder can vary in spiciness, so adjust the amount based on your preference.

Kashmiri Chilli: Provides a mild heat and a deep red color to the curry. Kashmiri chili powder is known for its bright red hue and less spicy kick.

Turmeric Powder: Adds a warm and earthy flavor to the curry. Turmeric also provides a vibrant yellow color to the dish.

Coriander Powder: Adds a citrusy and slightly sweet flavor to the curry. Coriander powder is a common spice used in Indian cooking.

Cumin Powder: Adds a nutty and warm flavor to the curry. Cumin powder is a versatile spice that is commonly used in Indian, Middle Eastern, and Mexican cuisines.

Dried Fenugreek: Adds a slightly bitter and nutty flavor to the curry. Dried fenugreek leaves, also known as kasuri methi, are commonly used in Indian cooking for their unique taste.

Coriander: Fresh coriander leaves are used as a garnish for the chicken niblets curry. They add a fresh and herbaceous flavor to the dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken Niblets
  • 50 ml Oil
  • 2 Onion
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Chilli
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Dried Fenugreek
  • 1 handful Coriander

Instructions

  • Begin by adding the oil to a large pan or pot and heat it up over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they soften and turn translucent.
  • Add the green chilli and garlic paste to the pan. Sauté the mixture for about 1 minute, allowing the garlic to release its aroma.
  • Next, add the chicken to the pan. Cook it for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken changes color on all sides.
